What began as executive coaching for one senior leader has grown into an ongoing partnership, combining individual coaching with team development and organisational consultancy.

Coaching across different leadership levels, shaped around individual development needs
From individual coaching in February 2021 to a relationship that continues today
“The impact has been transformative, both in developing individuals and in strengthening the way we support and invest in our people.”
ADAM’s sponsors recorded consistently positive participant feedback, extended coaching to more people and renewed the relationship for successive years. Coaching became a trusted part of how the practice supports its leaders.
Each phase responded to ADAM’s evolving priorities, retaining an individual approach as the relationship expanded.
Key milestones
The relationship began with one-to-one executive coaching for Darren Price. The trust established through that work laid the groundwork for a wider commitment.
ADAM commissioned coaching for ten managers. The focus included confidence, effective teams, communication, influence, delegation and space for strategic thinking. The first cohort allowed the practice to assess the work through its own people’s experience.
Coaching broadened to people with different roles and needs, including greater responsibility, workload, confidence and career direction. Initial conversations shaped each engagement around the individual rather than a fixed curriculum.
Positive participant feedback and continuing demand led ADAM to renew the relationship, continuing with established participants and introducing new leaders.
ADAM renewed again. Coaching had involved more than 30 people across different leadership levels, with further leaders identified as capacity became available. The partnership continues.
Victor Man’s experience reflects the individual impact within that wider relationship, extending beyond the career goals he initially expected to address.
“Working with Will has had a profound impact on my professional and personal life.”
One-to-one coaching has remained at the centre of the partnership. A substantial part of Will’s work has been with ADAM’s executive board and shareholders, combining coaching with organisational consultancy.
One-to-one executive coaching and individual Enneagram profiling, shaped around the leader and their development needs.

Coaching and organisational consultancy spanning strategy and culture, Shareholder Charter development, risk register review and participation in board and shareholder meetings.
The work expanded in response to specific leadership and organisational needs, with clear confidentiality boundaries around each coaching relationship.
Individual confidentiality and responsible oversight have to coexist. ADAM didn’t need access to private coaching conversations to assess whether the relationship was worthwhile.
The practice considered engagement, participant feedback and where further coaching capacity would be most useful. That informed decisions about continuing existing engagements and introducing new participants.
“My executive coaching with Will Harvey began early in my management career and provided invaluable support, challenge and structure as I progressed towards becoming a partner.
Since then, I’ve been able to bring Will into the wider business, where his coaching now extends beyond the senior leadership team to people at different levels across the practice. The impact has been transformative, both in developing individuals and in strengthening the way we support and invest in our people.
Will is highly professional, personable and motivating, with an ability to offer fresh insight and perspective while understanding the individual in front of him. We continue to see real value in his contribution and intend to build on his coaching at different levels throughout the business.”
For organisational sponsors, ADAM’s experience shows how coaching can begin with a focused requirement, expand across a leadership population and extend into team development and consultancy as priorities evolve.
If you’re considering coaching for yourself or a senior leader in your organisation, I’d be glad to hear what has prompted it. We can talk through the situation, what you hope the work could achieve and how I might approach it.
We’ll also get a sense of whether we would work well together.
